People get sick through the coaction of several factors . That could be inheritary disposition, the environment, certain habits, various viruses and germs, and psychical factors. Habits and mental attitude can be changed, and to a certain degree the environment and infection risks can be also controlled (for example, through vaccination). What you can do to stay healthy is to pay attention to your nutrition, exercise to stay fit and adopt a sound mental attitude. Of course, you should also get rid of bad habits (if you have them), like cigarettes, alcohol, drugs and similar. Exercise : Like with almost all things in life , it's important to be moderate. If you haven't been doing any exercise for a long time, you should anyway first check your health. Nutrition :You probably already know about the importance of proteins, vitamins and minerals . Here are just a few notes about some other things : Take you time when you eat. Make little breaks when you eat-this way you can better notice if you had enough (because the saturation feeling appears after 15-20 minutes). Stop eating when you are not hungry anymore (especially if you have weight problems). Eat only if you are hungry. Mental attitude : Psychological problems and stress are very often the cause for all kinds of health problems, like high blood pressure, overweight, stomach problems, ulcers and so on. It's easier said than done, but the only real solution to that is to adopt a more relaxing and philosophical attitude towards life. New information will be added soon. |
